Case Studies
The case studies, resources and notes were developed as part of the project on enterprise activities in West Sussex primary schools during the spring term 2010. It is offered to schools to help them develop pupils’ enterprise skills, attitudes and knowledge in order to better prepare them for work, as well as other aspects of their adult life.
In addition Rustington and West Dean primary schools have kindly offered to share their whole school approach to enterprise. These show how a large urban and a small rural primary school have incorporated enterprise activities into the curriculum.
The aim of these resources is to support teachers in developing their own activities as part of the normal curriculum in the school. They aim to:
• Support the delivery of National Curriculum subjects
• Raise awareness of business and enterprise
• Develop key skills and employability skills
• Develop enterprise skills, attitudes and knowledge
• Improve pupil motivation and aspirations
• Encourage links between education and business
