Humber VHB host visit

Humber VHB in Angmering hosted a visit by local science students recently where they looked at health and safety.  In the final year of their GCSE studies, students focussed on science in the workplace and how H&S affects working practices.

They met with employees who answered questions and showed them around the site paying particular attention to signage, ways of working and ensuring staff have a safe environment.

Ben Richardson, teacher at The Angmering School said “students found it very interesting and helpful for their course”.

Jacqui Scerri, Education Business Partnership Co-ordinator who organised the visit said “Getting students into the real working environment is key to developing their understanding and appreciation of local business.  Our local businesses benefit by being able to influence students’ perceptions and encourage them to take an interest in the area”.
