The Littlehampton Academy celebrates its opening

Almost 100 guests from the local community and the Woodard Trust came together to celebrate the unveiling of a plaque to mark the official opening of The Littlehampton Academy on Wednesday 14 October.

Those present were keen to take part in the ceremony and to show their continued support for the school at this exciting time in its development.

Sara Hopkins, Community Liaison Manager for the Academy said, "it was a wonderful way to mark the new identity for the school and we are all looking forward to the new building that is on the horizon!”

The Lord Lieutenant of West Sussex, Mrs Susan Pyper, officially opened the Academy with contributions from Chair of Governors Graham Toole-Mackson and Chairman of the Woodard Schools, Canon David Bilton.  Also pictured are Steve Jewell, Principle (3rd from left) and students from the Academy.
