Pitting their talents against others in the Arun area, local schools battle it out for the coveted title Most Enterprising Student in Arun. Supported by the Arun Business Partnership, this four-stage event brings together local schools and businesses across the area, challenging students’ ability to be enterprising, creative and innovatively solve problems.
A great enterprise package, this programme can be delivered in just one day. In teams, students will dream-up fantastic entrepreneurial music business product ideas, get business mentor support to gain an insight in the key themes/aspects of running a business and compete against each other to be the Music Business Winning Team.
This fast paced and fun event requires as many different business representatives as you can muster and lots of students to ask them questions. It’s a great way for students to get a glimpse of the vast range of jobs in the workplace and the career path each volunteer has taken to get to their current role. Well worth the effort and good fun for the volunteers.
Use this handy toolkit to set up your own RU Ready event – focussing on getting ready for working life or college, with the benefit of business experience, this event helps students to think about their plans for the future, skills development, and those all important interview techniques.
In this workshop students will understand the process of applying for jobs, find out what employers are looking for and get hands-on experience with the interview process.
In this workshop students apply for a real job and attend an interview conducted by business volunteers. This kind of opportunity is worth its weight in gold.
This event challenges groups of Year 12 students to come up with a marketing campaign to attract new businesses to their area. This win-win project enables students to work with business volunteers and gain knowledge of their local business scene. This is an excellent event to run after Y12 exams in the summer to keep them motivated.
